My pair fell apart after this day, they served me more than well for 20 years.

Drawing is still one of the most fundamental principles of any creative discipline whether it is illustrational design or tattooing.
Understanding proportions, anatomy, shapes, contrasts, line weights is key.

Personally i still like to draw with pencil on paper because of the fixed overview and understanding immediately what works and what doesn’t in a design.
Don’t get me wrong i love working on my ipad because of its easy editing and time efficiency but it still mimics a pencil/pen/brush with the apple pencil having the same feeling.

The hidden surprise when working with a grittier pencil or a pen that is a bit drier can cause a different effect on either smooth or coarse paper. Even the weight of paper differs the outcome.
Those unexpected endresults spark more creativity to pursue different experiments to develop your style.

And when the battery of your ipad is empty and you forgot the charge cable how do you continue? 🤷🏽
